Abandoned Girl

Born in Shantou/China, 1962, Chen Ping has created many artworks that are now on display across renown international art fairs and museums – in cities ranging from New York to Hong Kong and Melbourne. His art reflects the complex language of art, never creating plainly abstract nor fully figurative artworks. Ping’s themes are inspired by ancient philosophies and mythologies, combined with the beautiful Tasmanian landscape. By placing distant human figures into the painted landscapes, he tries to depict the tension between the human and his environment. His works are part of well-established private art collections all over the globe, and he is currently mainly working in China and Australia.
